Unarmed Security Guard Services That Prevent Problems

Trained, uniformed officers who control access, watch for trouble, and report what happens on every shift.

Most security posts do not need a firearm. They need a reliable, observant officer who knows the property, follows the post orders, and writes down what happened. SecureOne's unarmed security guard services cover front desks and lobbies, gates and parking areas, residential communities, hotels, offices, and retail properties. Our officers are trained to prevent incidents before they occur rather than simply react to them.

What unarmed security guards do

A typical unarmed officer checks in visitors and contractors, controls who enters the building or the community, makes scheduled rounds inside and out, locks and unlocks doors, enforces parking rules, and responds to alarms and calls for help. For residential community security, that can mean gate posts and patrols of common areas. For hospitality security, it means officers who are as comfortable helping a guest as they are handling a disturbance.

Trained and recognizable

SecureOne hires officers with prior military, law enforcement, or security experience, and every officer completes state-mandated training plus advanced training in First Aid, CPR, and AED, nonlethal force, and active shooter response. Our in-house Director of Training builds site-specific instruction for each account. Officers wear SecureOne's standard uniform of tan shirt, black hat, black pants, and black shoes, so employees, residents, and visitors can spot them right away. Supervision you can see

Field supervisor inspections are included at no additional cost. Shift reports, photos, and patrol checks go into Vision InSites as they happen, and you have one point of contact available 24/7.

When to consider something else

If a site handles cash or high-value goods or has a history of violent incidents, armed security guards may be the better fit. If you need a presence but not a full-time post, look at mobile patrol services. Unarmed officers are also the backbone of our retail security and event security programs.
